How do I know whose turn it is to buy a round?
RoundFair's Up now view shows whose turn it is to buy the next round and who is behind. If nobody wants to decide, the spin wheel can pick someone at random.
How do I split a bar tab fairly?
RoundFair tracks every round during the night, so you can see who paid and who is behind. When you're ready, use Split the bill to settle. A consumption overview shows who had what and the cost per person, so the split reflects what people actually drank.
Where is my data stored?
RoundFair stores your data on your device and in your personal iCloud. RoundFair has no servers of its own and no access to your sessions, rounds or balances. Sharing a session with friends uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), so your group's data stays inside Apple's ecosystem and never passes through a RoundFair account.
How does group sharing work?
RoundFair shares a session through iCloud (CloudKit), so everyone sees the same rounds and balances live on their own iPhone. Every participant needs an iCloud account on their device, but nobody has to create a separate RoundFair account. Sharing is optional, and you can also run a session on your own.
Does RoundFair cost anything?
RoundFair is free to download on the App Store. Open it, create a session and start tracking rounds straight away. No purchase is required to get going.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. RoundFair is offline-first, so you can add rounds, see whose turn it is and settle the bill without any connection. iCloud sharing is optional and syncs automatically when your device is back online, so a weak signal in a bar never blocks the session.
Which currencies are supported?
Every RoundFair session has its own currency. You pick it when you create the session, and all amounts, balances and the final settlement are shown in that currency. That lets you run one session for a night out at home and another for a trip abroad.
Can I share the overview with the group?
Yes. RoundFair can export the session as plain text with participants, rounds and balances. You can share that overview through any app, such as a group chat or email, so everyone can see who owes what.
What are taunt notifications?
Taunt notifications are optional, playful reminders during a session for whoever hasn't paid in a while. They are scheduled on your device rather than sent from a server, and you can turn them off at any time in settings.
